Olá Família dos sonhos
So how are you all doing? So here is how my week went. I went to Baixo Guando on Wednesday. (the city that has the basketball program) We were there the entire day teaching basketball to kids that haven't really touched a basketball in their entire lives. There were a few kids that were decent but I felt like the Harlem Globetrotters playing against them. Their coach wants me to teach them how to do ally oops and stuff like that and I'm like... "they need to learn how to dribble, pass and make a lay up". He thinks that they need to learn crazy things like that but I'm not teaching anything aside from basics.
Friday it was Brasil against Netherlands. Brasil ended up losing and it was the funniest thing ever. Everyone was screaming swearwords out their windows and immediately after Brasil had lost everyone took down their decorations flags ext that were decorating their houses for the World cup. Argentina is Brasil's biggest rivalry and they got killed 4-0 by Germany so that got everyone here happy again. My money is on Spain or Germany. Whoever wins that next game.
This week I had one of the guys in my district decide he was going to go home. He had completely given up, stopped working and decided that he wanted to go home. Last night I had a good talk with him, but he is set on going home. I feel sad for him because he wants to go home because his family is having some SERIOUS problems. I told him that him staying here would help his family in a much greater way than him giving up. Hopefully he decides to stay because I don't want to lose him from my district!
This week for the first time in my life I traveled by an actual train! It was awesome!!!! It was cool because it was an actual passenger train that goes very far. We just jumped a ride for about an hour but it was still cool!
I hope you enjoy the pics that I sent!!!
Hope all is good back in the good ol USA!!!!!!
I love you all!!!!
Love Jeff!!!
