Good Tidings.
Well this week I had the pleasure to do a week long division with the traveling assistants. It is a new program that the mission is doing and our district had the pleasure of being the firsts to participate. It was an amazing experience! I learned so much and we had a lot of amazing experiences.
One Tuesday afternoon I had the idea to go and visit an inactive member that I had never met before that lives in my area. On arriving you could see the excitement in his face. We asked him to tell us his life story in the church and he began in the year 1983 when he was baptized. A few years later he contracted a disease in the blood that requires painful shots every few days and he was suffering with this disease. He decided to go and get his patriarchal blessing. In the blessing he was promised that he would be an instrument in the hands of our Father In Heaven bringing souls unto Christ, and the second thing was that he would no longer suffer the effects of that disease. From that day forward the disease left his body and didn’t bother him anymore. The person that gave him that blessing was President James E. Faust. How cool is that! He said that he will be at church this week so I am excited to see him there.
The second awesome story is about W. We did a contact in the street with him and during the contact he was already ready to be born again through baptism and begin a new life in Christ. He is very excited about the church. He has 17 years, (Rachel don’t get any ideas), and he is loving seminary and the Young Men’s activities. His baptism will be on the 8th of November. I am way excited for him! I am definitely starting to see the blessings of being obedient to all the rules. My comp was even obedient this week, (probably because there were assistants there), but I intend to keep him in line even if I do have to "Chinese ant torture" him.
Well....If you are wondering. Next week I make a year on the mission! Here in one year you will all be seeing my beautiful face again! I sure hope that made you trunky because it sure didn’t make me.
I sure do love all of you and thank you all for the support that you give me here on the mission! Lets keep it up! Just 12 more fast Sundays of it!
Elder Johnson.

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY,
Yeah, I know that you all forgot what happened a year ago today but I am here to remind you all! One year ago today was my farewell at church where I had the wonderful opportunity to speak on the fruit of the tree of life. Yeah, its hard to believe that that was one year ago.. crazy how time flys isn’t it!
This week I had the opportunity to do a division with the Assistants to the President. I think they came out to see how I am doing as a senior companion. At the end of the day we had found 8 new investigators, taught 9 lessons, and had probably one of my most successful days as a missionary. The AP that I went with had no complaints about the day and only had good things to say about it! I don’t want to get prideful but its always nice to hear that you’re doing well!
Transfers are gong to happen tomorrow and I am excited to probably get a junior companion that has less time than me on the mission. It will be cool!
By the way the mission will be receiving another Jeffrey Johnson tomorrow. His name is Jeffrey P. Johnson so make sure that on all the letters, ext. that you put Jeffrey T Johnson or there could be some mistakes. I have already had a few of his letters given to me lets just hope it doesn’t happen the other way around. It could be nice if he received my dear john letter if that ever comes and I never heard about it! ;)
Well hope all is going good for everyone! I'm having a blast out here and coming up on my 1 year mark on November 4th. Wish me luck!
Love,Elder Johnson

Conference Rocked!
Dear Those,
I'm sorry for the spelling and gramatical errors. I'm am still shaking from Jeffrey R. Hollands talk! I loved it. I am now going to apply that style of teaching and I am sure that because of this I will baptize millions of people. My first full week as senior companion has been a blast. A blast that is 500 doors knocked and we found 13 new investigators!! We even marked a baptizmal date with this guy named W!! he is an x drug addict that is wanting change in his life. We are seeing the blessings everyday in our work from our dilligence. Today we are going to go to the beach and play some amazing soccer on a turf field that they have over there.. I hate to break it to all of you but I am basicly the next Pele.(if you dont know who he is look him up) Tomorrow is mission conference and I am very very excited. All of these conferences I think that my brain is going to explode from so much great information entering so fast! Today is 11 month mark which means 30 more days until 1 year away. Crazy how time flys when you are in the service of the Lord.. Good news, the brazilians are telling me that I now have no accent in my portugues and that I am speaking better than the americans that have 6 months more than me! WOOHOO!!! (beware of pride) oops.
SURE DO LOVE EVERYONE OF YOU AND HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD WEEK!
WITH LOVE ALWAYS!
