TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
Its been awhile since my last entry but none the less I am still alive and going strong even though living with my current companion is not the easiest thing in the world to do. I guess all in all, I am learning how to be patient. It seems that the Lord has been blessing me with a lot of opportunities to learn patience. Now I just need to buckle down and learn it.
The work here is moving! This week we may have a baptism of Jardson. He is a young man with 17 years and is progressing well! We just need to make sure that indeed he is done with smoking. Tonight I will share with him the verse in D&C that says with greater light comes greater condemnation and that if he is baptized and continues to sin it will not be as easy to repent for him. For sure he will be baptized its just a matter of time now.
With next week comes the next transfer! President Pickett said that the mission will be receiving a lot of new missionaries to help with the numbers which in turn means that a lot of people will be turning senior and even trainer to help out with the new missionaries. We will see what will happen next week!
Last night I had a great experience of following the spirit. We were about to walk through about a quarter mile of woods without lights to get home. We have done it many times before and never thought anything of it. Last night when we were about to start I felt something so strong that I knew that we were not supposed to enter in there. In turn we had to walk an extra 30 minutes to get home. I’m not sure what was in there, or even if there was anything in there but I do know that I’m not going to ignore the spirit when it warns. I have a testimony that the spirit does prompt, and that always, when we are listening to the whisperings of the spirit, we will be guided.
Thank-you to all for all your support and everything that you do for me!
Love you all!
Elder Johnson
