Emma Week 8
(Family and Friends)
THIS WEEK HAS BEEN 100% AMAZING!!!! (-minus a few things)
I'll just get the bad things out of the way first. So we
have had to stop teaching A LOT of
people this week. One of the more promising ones was really hard, she was
reading the Book of Mormon and everything but she told us to not come back. We
are pretty sure she got anti'd.
But good news is that all the people we couldn't get a hold
of last week have finally started answering their doors and phones! So that was
a relief!
We also started doing service and Salvation Army which is so
FUN!!! It's also a huge problem for me because I keep finding a bunch of
clothes that are SOOOOO cheap......
This week I have felt the presence of the Holy Ghost more
than I ever have in my life!! Sister Rowe and I had 2 awesome lessons and I was
a little stressed about one of them with knowing what to say. But once we got
started I instantly felt the spirit take over! It was such an amazing
experience. After that I continued to feel the spirit so strongly in the other
lessons we taught.
Also the south is so much better than Utah because they have
so much more stuff to catch! Like lizards, fireflies, and FROGS!!! I caught so
many frogs this week and every single one that I caught didn't turn into a
prince when I kissed it! Oh I also caught a catfish, and the rest of my district
only caught the small ones, so I'm basically the best fishermissionary out of
all of them.
My favorite thing I studied this week was 2 Nephi 2, and
y'all should read it cause it is amazing! Especially verses 9 and 10.
Funny Story:
So some missionaries believe that no harm or danger will
come to them because they are missionaries. But that is not true because we
have to be smart and obedient in all that we do. So one night we were driving
past a sketchy part of town that a lot of drug deals happen and Sister Rowe was
jokingly saying lets go in there and get some gas (because it's by a gas
station), and then I said, "Lets go test how protected we are" and
then we laughed SOOO hard. It might not seem so funny but it was!!!
Love y'all!!
(Family)
Today is my 2 month mark and it blows my mind I haven't seen
y'all in that long! I bet you guys miss me so much that you cry yourselves to
sleep every night. Don't worry it is ok to admit it.
There's not much to report for this week besides that it has
been great! I have felt the spirit so strongly, He has directed my paths so
much! In 2 of my lessons I literally felt Him speaking through me because when
I didn't know what to say I would end up saying something completely unplanned
for. It definitely strengthened my testimony on the Holy Ghost and that
Heavenly Father is aware of me.
Also I don't know if I will have time to respond to all of
the individual emails I got because today is busy. But I'll try and if I don't
I am sorry! Anyways I love all of you guys and miss you so much!

Emma Week 7
(Family and friends)
I wish I could say this was an exciting week, but the best
word to describe it is WEIRD! First off
all of our most promising people we were teaching has disappeared off the face
of the earth! We have gone to there homes multiple times, called a hundred times,
and texted about a million times!!!!! I'm really bummed because we have no idea
how to get into contact with them, and one was so close to baptism! I still
have faith that the Lord is going to provide a way for us to find them.
We have my FIRST baptism scheduled! I am soooooo excited and
happy for him! He's a little kid named Valick and has SOOOO much energy!
Exchanges happened this week and it was so much fun! We went
up to Hammond, and the first place I went a miracle happened!!!! We went to a
trailer park to go tracting, as we were walking a lady came out of her home and
asked what church we were from, and then told us how she has called a whole
bunch of churches seeing if they could come pick her up for church. None had responded
to her and then we showed up!!! She even said it was meant to be that she came
out of her home right at that moment! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I also tried Smoothie
King which is like Jamba Juice but 20x better. The worst part of exchanges was
having to sleep on a recliner couch thing since they didn't have airmattress, I
couldn't fall asleep on them so I slept of the HARDwood floors Haha! But I
actually fell asleep so that was good!
Oh funnest part of the week was going to Young Womans and
making dresses out of toilet paper! Defiantly the highlight of my week......!
Like I said there's not a lot that happened this week, I
would say the most exciting thing was President and Sister Varner showing up
for our Sacrament meeting!! My face dropped once they walked in, I thought I
was in trouble even though I hadn't down anything! They were only passing
through for some meetings, and decided to stop at out branch. I WAS SO HAPPY
BECAUSE I LOVE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!
I challenge all of you to read Elder Hollands talk,
"Are you sleeping through the restoration?" I absolutely loved this
talk and know y'all will too!
I hope all of you have an amazing week and love y'all a
ton!!

(Also I forgot to take pictures this week...... so sorry!)
(Family)
So nothing really happened this week, so not much to update y'all on.
I had exchanges this week and it was really fun! I finally got to go out and do some tracting which I LOVED, but I kid you not I was soaked with sweat at the end of it! My clothes were sticking to me and I could wring the sweat out if I took off my clothes to do it. Let's just say it is very HOT here in the south. I can not wait until it starts to cool down.
Anyways I hope Y'all are doing great, Love and miss you guys a lot!!
Love your sweet Sissy!!!
