Dear everyone,
Things for us here in Nova Vinecia are looking up! This Saturday we will baptize the family of Marcos and Neide! They cant wait to get dunked! Neither can I. Because we are getting close the "Laminites" are starting to attack them. On Sunday he, Marcos found out that one of his family members had been talking bad about him. He was very very angry and decided not to go to church in that spirit. We got a ride and went down there when we realized that they weren’t here to see what had happened. He told us the story and that he couldn’t go because he had to fix the problem so he wouldn’t lose his job. I was on a division with one of the members and we told him to sit, pray and read the book of Mormon so that he could calm down and not do anything that he would regret. We got their daughters and went up to church. When we went back after church his wife told us that there was a point in that day where he wasn’t being loud and frustrated anymore and she had thought that he had left. When she went in to see where he went she saw that he was reading The Book of Mormon. It’s a testimony to me to see how fast it put a change in his attitude. He now knows that the enemy…."Laminites" will not stop at anything to try and stop them from getting baptized. He prays for help everyday for his family and they are all firm and excited for this Saturday!
We found out last week that the mission Rio de Janeiro North will end this next month. All of the missionaries in the Rio north mission will come to the new Vitoria, espirito santo mission. Its good because that will at about 80 missionaries to this state so every area will receive more missionaries! I am excited to see how much success we will have here in this state with more people!
